Lakers Rally Past Celtics in Overtime Thriller at TD Garden
Anthony Davis scored 34 points as Los Angeles completed a stunning comeback victory over Boston 124-119 in overtime.

The Los Angeles Lakers delivered one of their most impressive performances of the season Sunday night, overcoming an 18-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Boston Celtics 124-119 in overtime at TD Garden.

Anthony Davis dominated both ends of the floor with 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks, while LeBron James added 28 points and 11 assists in what many are calling a vintage performance from the 41-year-old superstar. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for Los Angeles and moved them within half a game of the sixth seed in the competitive Western Conference.

Boston appeared to be cruising toward victory after Jayson Tatum's three-pointer gave them a commanding 98-80 lead with 9:47 remaining in regulation. Tatum finished with 31 points and 8 rebounds, but the Celtics managed just 15 points over the final nine minutes of regulation as the Lakers mounted their furious rally.

The turning point came with 3:24 left when Davis blocked consecutive shots by Robert Williams III and Al Horford, leading to fast-break opportunities that cut the deficit to single digits. James then took over, scoring 12 points in the final four minutes to force overtime with a clutch three-pointer with 12.4 seconds remaining.

In the extra period, the Lakers outscored Boston 14-9 behind Davis's dominant interior presence and timely shooting from Austin Reaves, who contributed 16 points off the bench. The victory was particularly satisfying for Los Angeles coach Darvin Ham, whose job security has been questioned amid the team's inconsistent play.

The loss dropped Boston to 37-16 on the season, though they maintain a comfortable lead atop the Eastern Conference standings. For the Lakers, now 28-25, the victory provides crucial momentum as they continue fighting for playoff positioning in the loaded Western Conference.
