Lakers Extend Winning Streak to Seven with Dominant Victory Over Nuggets
Los Angeles Lakers continue their impressive run with a 118-102 victory over Denver, as LeBron James moves closer to another milestone.

The Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to seven games with a commanding 118-102 victory over the Denver Nuggets at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night. LeBron James led the charge with 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists, moving within 47 points of tying Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for most career points in Lakers franchise history.

The Lakers controlled the game from the opening tip, establishing a 15-point lead by the end of the first quarter. Anthony Davis contributed 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Russell Westbrook added 19 points off the bench in what has become a seamless sixth-man role since returning from injury.

Denver struggled to find their rhythm without injured center Nikola Jokic, who missed his third consecutive game with a knee contusion. Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 26 points, but shot just 9-of-22 from the field as the Lakers defense consistently disrupted Denver's offensive flow.

The victory marks the Lakers' longest winning streak since their championship run in 2020. Coach Darvin Ham praised his team's defensive intensity, noting they held the Nuggets to just 42% shooting from the field and forced 16 turnovers.

"We're clicking on all cylinders right now," James said after the game. "The chemistry is there, guys are buying into their roles, and we're playing the kind of basketball that can take us deep into the playoffs."

With the win, the Lakers improve to 38-21 and maintain their hold on the sixth seed in the Western Conference. They'll look to extend their streak when they host the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.
