Petr Sykora

Petr Sykora enjoyed a successful 15-year NHL career as a skilled offensive winger, winning two Stanley Cup championships and establishing himself as a reliable playoff performer. Born December 19, 1976, in Plzen, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic), Sykora developed his game in the Czech hockey system before being drafted 18th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 1995.

Sykora made his NHL debut during the 1995-96 season and quickly became a productive member of the Devils' offense. His skating ability and offensive instincts allowed him to complement the team's defensive system while contributing goals. Playing alongside stars like Scott Stevens and Martin Brodeur, Sykora learned winning habits that would serve him throughout his career.
