Bayern Munich Edges Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in Der Klassiker Thriller
Harry Kane's late winner secures crucial Bundesliga victory for Bayern at Signal Iduna Park in electric atmosphere.

Harry Kane scored a dramatic 88th-minute winner as Bayern Munich defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in a pulsating Der Klassiker encounter at Signal Iduna Park on Sunday, extending their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.

The England striker's clinical finish from close range sent the traveling Bayern supporters into raptures and silenced the famous Yellow Wall, capping off a thrilling contest that lived up to its billing as Germany's premier football rivalry. Kane's 28th league goal of the season proved to be the difference in a match that swung back and forth throughout.

"Scoring the winner in Der Klassiker is something I'll never forget," Kane said after the match. "The atmosphere was incredible, and Dortmund made it really difficult for us. But we showed great character to keep fighting until the final whistle."

Bayern took an early lead through Jamal Musiala's brilliant individual effort in the 23rd minute, with the German international weaving through three defenders before slotting home. However, Dortmund responded just before halftime when Karim Adeyemi equalized with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.

The second half was an end-to-end affair with both teams creating numerous chances. Dortmund's Jude Bellingham hit the crossbar with a thunderous effort, while Bayern's Thomas Müller saw his header cleared off the line by Mats Hummels in a frantic sequence of events.

The victory extends Bayern's lead at the top of the Bundesliga to seven points with 12 games remaining, putting them in a commanding position to claim another German title. For Dortmund, the defeat is a significant blow to their championship aspirations, though they remain firmly in the hunt for Champions League qualification. Kane's adaptation to German football continues to impress, with his winning goal demonstrating why Bayern made him their marquee signing.
