Anthony Edwards Wins NBA All-Star MVP in New Tournament Format

The revamped All-Star format featured multiple short games culminating in a title matchup. Edwards starred throughout the evening, with his most memorable moment coming in the opening game against Team World. He forced overtime with a clutch three-pointer before Scottie Barnes hit the game-winner for Team World in a thrilling finish.

Despite the early setback, Edwards and Team USA Stripes bounced back strong. They defeated Team USA Stars in their second game, setting up a championship showdown with Team World. In the title game, Edwards helped lead his squad to a dominant 47-21 victory.

Kawhi Leonard received the other four MVP votes after some heroic performances. Playing in his home arena, Leonard scored 31 points in just 12 minutes during one game against Team World, including a clutch game-winning triple. However, he struggled in the championship as Team USA Stripes pulled away.

Victor Wembanyama impressed despite being on the losing side. The San Antonio Spurs star scored 33 of Team World combined 80 points across their games. Team World lost both games to the Team USA squads by just five points combined.

The weekend also featured exciting competitions with Miami Keshad Johnson winning the slam dunk contest and Portland Damian Lillard capturing his third three-point title. Edwards MVP performance was the highlight of a successful new format.
