Dubois and Wardley record career-high weights at London weigh-in
Daniel Dubois weighed 18st 2lb and Fabio Wardley 17st 10lb as both recorded career highs in London. Promoter Frank Warren also confirmed their rematch contract contains no clause for a third fight.

Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley both recorded the highest weights of their professional careers at Friday's weigh-in in London, BBC Sport reported. WBO heavyweight champion Dubois weighed 18st 2lb, with challenger Wardley at 17st 10lb. The measurements were taken at Old Spitalfields Market before their world-title rematch at the O2 Arena on Saturday.

Watch the highlights:

Dubois, 29, was more than two pounds heavier than for the first meeting, while the 31-year-old Wardley had added more than six pounds. A crowd of a couple of hundred people watched the public event in east London, according to the BBC's account. The fighters completed their face-off without incident, and Dubois left the stage soon afterwards.

The first contest took place in Manchester in May and ended with Dubois stopping Wardley in the 11th round. Wardley had knocked him down in the first and third rounds before Dubois recovered to win. At the weigh-in, Wardley said those early successes gave him confidence, while acknowledging that he needed to make better use of such opportunities and deliver a cleaner performance.

Wardley attended in Ipswich Town's newly launched third kit, with his name on the sleeve, and posed for photographs with supporters after arriving more than an hour before the event. The BBC reported that the marks of the first bout were still visible. A cut across his nose, originally suffered in his 2024 draw with Frazer Clarke, had reopened against Dubois, leaving his face swollen and bloodied.

Dubois has won 23 of his 26 professional contests, with 22 victories by knockout. Wardley's record stands at 20 wins, one defeat and one draw, with 19 knockout victories. Between them, the two British heavyweights have therefore recorded 41 knockouts in 43 wins. Wardley's loss to Dubois remains the only defeat on his professional record.

Promoter Frank Warren also clarified the contractual position, confirming that there is no clause requiring a third fight between the pair. The Queensberry Promotions boss nevertheless left open the possibility of another meeting if Wardley wins the rematch. His comments did not amount to an announcement of a third bout or a confirmed agreement for one.
