Wrexham Complete Permanent Signing of Issa Kabore from Manchester City
Wrexham have completed the permanent signing of Burkina Faso international Issa Kabore from Manchester City, bringing the right wing-back back to the Racecourse Ground after his loan spell last season. BBC Sport reported that Kabore has agreed a three-year contract with the Championship club.

The transfer is worth up to £4.75 million, according to BBC Sport. Manchester City retain a 20 per cent sell-on clause and matching rights as part of the agreement. Kabore leaves City without having made a senior appearance for the club.
Kabore played 32 times in all competitions for Wrexham during the 2025-26 campaign. He supplied eight assists in the Championship, the highest total recorded by any Wrexham player, after beginning his spell with two assists in a 3-2 victory away to Norwich City.
His season was interrupted by a hamstring injury suffered while representing Burkina Faso during the November international break. Kabore returned to action for his country at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and then resumed a prominent role for Wrexham during the second half of the club season.
Manager Phil Parkinson welcomed Kabore's return and said the club was looking forward to continuing his development. Kabore said Wrexham's ambition was to reach the Premier League and that he had returned ready to fight for promotion and repay the support he received during his loan spell.
The 55-cap international originally joined Manchester City from Belgian side Mechelen in 2020 and immediately went back to Mechelen on loan. Further temporary moves took him to Troyes, Marseille, Luton Town, Benfica and Werder Bremen before he joined Wrexham on the September 2025 transfer deadline day.
BBC Sport also reported that Wrexham are close to adding Angers left-back Jacques Ekomie, although that move had not been announced as complete. Kabore joins goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, midfielder Ben Whiteman and right wing-back Danny Imray among Wrexham's summer arrivals.
