Wallabies recall Isaac Henry and retain Suaalii on wing in Bledisloe team announcement
Isaac Henry replaces the suspended Hunter Paisami as Australia's only new starter. New Zealand have selected Damian McKenzie at flyhalf amid injuries to Ruben Love and Richie Mo'unga.

Australia have named Isaac Henry at outside centre and kept Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii on the wing in their team announcement for the opening Bledisloe Cup Test. Rugby Australia's selection release confirmed Henry as the only new starter from the side that beat South Africa in Perth, with the match scheduled for October 10 at Eden Park in Auckland.

Watch the highlights:

Henry, 27, comes into the midfield following Hunter Paisami's suspension and will partner Len Ikitau. The decision leaves Australia's back three intact: Suaalii and Max Jorgensen occupy the wings, with Tom Wright at fullback. Ryan Lonergan and Ben Donaldson also retain their places as the starting scrumhalf and flyhalf respectively.

ABC Sport reported that Ikitau has recovered from an ankle injury and moves from outside to inside centre. Henry is set to make his fifth Test appearance, having debuted against Japan in Osaka two months ago. Australia won their previous match against South Africa 42-38, and coach Les Kiss has retained the rest of that starting team.

The replacements have changed more extensively. According to ABC Sport, hooker Josh Nasser, prop Massimo De Lutiis, back-rower Nick Champion de Crespigny and flyhalf Declan Meredith have been called onto a bench containing five forwards and three backs. De Lutiis and Champion de Crespigny replace Taniela Tupou and Tom Hooper respectively, after the latter pair returned to their European clubs.

New Zealand's announcement brings a change at flyhalf, where Damian McKenzie has been selected with Ruben Love and Richie Mo'unga injured. Rugby.com.au reported that Love has an ankle injury and Mo'unga a calf injury. Beauden Barrett takes over at fullback, while Scott Barrett returns at lock alongside Josh Lord for his first All Blacks appearance since November 2025.

Codie Taylor continues as New Zealand captain and starting hooker, between props Ethan de Groot and Fletcher Newell. Wallace Sititi has been selected at number eight, with Peter Lakai at openside flanker and Tupou Vaa'i on the blindside. Quinn Tupaea returns from injury at centre, while Leroy Carter starts on the wing and Josh Moorby moves to the replacements.
