Pulisic, Balogun and McKennie recalled as USMNT names Haiti squad
Christian Pulisic, Folarin Balogun and Weston McKennie return for the Nations League quarterfinals, alongside newcomers and several young players retained from the fall camp.

Christian Pulisic, Folarin Balogun and Weston McKennie have been recalled to the United States men's national team for November's Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals against Haiti. According to Yahoo Sports reporter Steven Goff, Wednesday's selections bring the three players back into Mauricio Pochettino's squad for the first time since the World Cup.

The recalls are part of a selection that also preserves much of the group used in September and October. Yahoo Sports reported that 19 players from that camp have been retained after victories over Peru, Chile, Mexico and Canada. The Americans will begin their preparations on Monday at the national training center outside Atlanta.

Two newcomers have received their first senior invitations: Nashville left back Reed Baker-Whiting and Paderborn midfielder Santiago Castañeda, both 21. Rennes right back Bryan Reynolds is also recalled as he seeks his first U.S. appearance since 2023. Among those left out are goalkeeper Matt Turner, winger Tim Weah and midfielder Yunus Musah, Yahoo Sports reported.

The MLS contingent numbers eight players, according to the league's official website. It includes Philadelphia Union attacker Cavan Sullivan and center back Neil Pierre, Orlando City forward Justin Ellis, and Red Bull New York teammates Julian Hall and Adri Mehmeti. Sullivan, who recently became the youngest scorer in U.S. men's national team history, receives a second consecutive camp invitation.

Nashville goalkeeper Brian Schwake and Baker-Whiting join the squad after their club won the Supporters' Shield. MLS reported that Schwake leads the league with 15 clean sheets and made his international debut last month. New York City FC's Matt Freese completes the MLS group; he was the Americans' starting goalkeeper during their run to the World Cup's last 16.

The quarterfinal opens on November 14 at Nu Stadium in Miami, with Haiti designated as the home team because of security concerns in its own country. The return match is scheduled for November 17 at Cincinnati's TQL Stadium. MLS confirmed that the series decides a semifinal place, as the United States pursues a fourth Nations League title.
