Tyler Loop kicks 56-yard winner as Ravens beat Cowboys in Rio

Tyler Loop converted a 56-yard field goal on the final play as the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Dallas Cowboys 34–31 in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, September 27. Baltimore moved to 2–1 and Dallas dropped to 1–2 after a finish that left no need for overtime at Maracanã Stadium.

According to the Cowboys’ official game report, Baltimore had only seven seconds to work with after Brandon Aubrey tied the game with a 23-yard field goal. Starting at his own 35-yard line, Lamar Jackson found Zay Flowers for a 27-yard gain. A timeout with one second remaining gave Loop the opportunity to settle the contest with his long-range attempt.

The late exchange followed a Dallas comeback. KaVontae Turpin’s nine-yard touchdown run had put the Cowboys ahead 28–24, but Baltimore responded through a two-yard touchdown pass from Jackson to Matt Hibner. That score left 90 seconds for Dak Prescott to answer, and Dallas advanced close to the end zone before settling for Aubrey’s tying kick.

Prescott finished with 276 passing yards and one touchdown, completing 25 of 40 attempts, the Cowboys reported. CeeDee Lamb contributed 112 receiving yards, while George Pickens added 82. Dallas had produced both a fourth-quarter lead and a subsequent game-tying drive, only for Baltimore to create one more scoring opportunity in the remaining seconds.

Baltimore’s official recap also highlighted an earlier special-teams intervention. Keondre Jackson blocked Aubrey’s 59-yard field-goal attempt while the Ravens were leading 17–13. Baltimore then extended its advantage with a four-yard touchdown pass to Chris Moore, following runs by Derrick Henry, Lamar Jackson and Justice Hill. Dallas subsequently scored 15 unanswered points to move back in front.

The Ravens’ running game supplied significant support: Henry gained 89 yards, Jackson 50 and Hill 33, according to the team’s report. Flowers led Baltimore’s receivers with five catches for 84 yards and also gained 20 yards on a jet sweep. The Ravens now return home to face the Tennessee Titans next Sunday, having secured their second victory of the season.
