Tottenham Agree £75m Deal for Manchester City Winger Savinho
Tottenham have agreed a £75 million deal for Manchester City winger Savinho, with another £10 million possible in add-ons. The Brazil international must still complete a medical before signing a long-term contract.

Tottenham have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign Brazil winger Savinho for £75 million, with a further £10 million potentially due through add-ons. BBC Sport reported that the 22-year-old must now undergo a medical before completing a long-term contract with the north London club.

Watch the highlights:

The agreement follows a pursuit lasting more than a year. Tottenham attempted to sign Savinho last summer, but the winger remained at the Etihad Stadium. His opportunities then became limited under Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, with Savinho making only seven Premier League starts last season.

Savinho joined Manchester City from French club Troyes in 2024. The proposed transfer would now take him to a Tottenham side being reshaped by head coach Roberto de Zerbi, who turned his attention to attacking reinforcements after significant investment in midfield earlier in the summer.

BBC Sport said Tottenham have spent a combined £185 million on Mateus Fernandes, signed from West Ham, and Sandro Tonali, recruited from Newcastle. Savinho's arrival would push the club's overall summer expenditure beyond £300 million. Tottenham have also recovered about £140 million from the sales of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic.

The report added that Tottenham may continue strengthening their forward line. Talks for Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush are said to be progressing positively, although no agreement was reported. The Egypt international joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million in 2025 and slipped down the selection order last season.

Tottenham also remain interested in Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, according to the BBC, but it is unclear whether the club could fund a move for the Netherlands international alongside deals for Savinho and Marmoush. For now, the Savinho transfer remains subject to his medical and the completion of his long-term contract.

The move is being prepared as both clubs approach the start of their Premier League campaigns. Tottenham are due to open away to Brentford on Saturday at 17:30 BST, while Manchester City are scheduled to host Bournemouth on Sunday at 14:00 BST.
