Tarkowski's Stoppage-Time Equaliser Rescues Everton at Bournemouth

James Tarkowski struck in stoppage time to rescue a 1-1 Premier League draw for Everton against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday. The Guardian reported that the defender converted from a late corner after Alex Scott had given the home side a first-half lead.

The breakthrough arrived shortly before halftime when Scott controlled Evanilson's pass, shifted his body to create room and drove a shot beyond Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The hosts carried that momentum into the second half. Scott continued to direct play, while full-back Adrien Truffert helped Bournemouth stretch Everton through their combinations. Everton finally found a way through from an outswinging corner in added time. Marcus Tavernier and Ryan Christie became tangled as Bournemouth tried to defend the delivery, leaving Tarkowski unmarked to stab in the equaliser. The late goal preserved Everton's point and extended Bournemouth's unbeaten home run, which The Guardian reported stretches back to January 3.
