Stormers beat Ulster 33-7 as five-try win prolongs visitors' wait
The Stormers scored five tries in Cape Town to leave Ulster without a win after five URC matches. The hosts recovered from conceding the opening try to claim their fourth league victory of the campaign.

The Stormers defeated Ulster 33-7 in Cape Town, scoring five tries to secure their fourth victory in five United Rugby Championship matches. According to BBC Sport's match report, the result leaves Ulster still seeking their first league win of the season, with three defeats and two draws from their opening five fixtures.

Watch the highlights:

Ulster arrived for the second match of their South African trip after losing to the Bulls in Pretoria. Richie Murphy's team were without their Ireland contingent, who had returned ahead of November's Nations Championship fixtures. Despite those absences, the visitors scored first and had an opportunity to extend their lead before the Stormers took control.

David McCann helped create the opening breakthrough by reacting to a Stormers knock-on. Matthew Devine subsequently had a try disallowed by the television match official, but play returned for an earlier offside. McCann then crossed for Ulster, with Murphy adding the conversion. Cormac Izuchukwu came close to a second try shortly afterwards, only to knock on at the line.

The momentum changed as Ulster conceded four consecutive penalties, the last bringing a yellow card for Keynan Knox. JD Schickerling scored the Stormers' first try and Ahmed converted to draw the hosts level. Paul de Villiers then blocked Murphy's attempted clearance and scored, sending the Stormers into half-time with a 12-7 advantage after Ulster had led earlier in the period.

Ulster began the second half on the attack, but another mistake widened the gap. Evan Roos collected a blind pass from Devine and ran away to score a converted try. The visitors subsequently struggled to threaten inside the Stormers' 22, with much of the contest taking place in Ulster's half even as errors continued on both sides.

Captain Ruhan Nel secured the Stormers' bonus point when he gathered Ahmed's crossfield kick and touched down. Izuchukwu was later held up over the line as Ulster sought a consolation score. Ahmed finished the scoring with the hosts' fifth try and converted it, completing a match in which he supplied four successful conversions.

Ulster finished without adding to their seven first-half points and must wait until their visit to Cardiff on 5 December for another opportunity to register a league victory. The Stormers, meanwhile, emerged with a bonus-point win despite the handling mistakes that had disrupted their early attacks.
