Starc Takes 10 as Australia Rout Bangladesh Inside Two Days
Mitchell Starc completed a 10-wicket match as Australia defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 51 runs inside two days in the second Test in Mackay. Australian Associated Press, reporting through The Guardian, said Bangladesh were dismissed for 95 in their second innings after Australia had made 210 in reply to the tourists' first-innings 64.

The result levelled the two-match series at 1-1 after Bangladesh won the opening Test in Darwin by nine wickets. Australia carried a 146-run advantage into Bangladesh's second innings, and the visitors were bowled out shortly after tea on Sunday to bring the match to an early conclusion.
Starc followed his first-innings figures of 6-12 with 4-39, giving him 10 wickets in a Test for the fourth time in his career. The left-arm fast bowler struck twice in successive deliveries during his second over, removing opener Shadman Islam for one and then Mominul Haque, putting himself on a hat-trick for the second time in the match.
Australia captain Pat Cummins took 3-10 in the second innings, while Nathan Lyon claimed two wickets in three balls after tea. Mushfiqur Rahim was left unbeaten on 29. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto made 31 before Lyon dismissed him, and Litton Das recorded his second duck of the match when Starc removed him.
Bangladesh fast bowler Shoriful Islam supplied the leading performance for his side. He finished with 7-48 as Australia were dismissed for 210, the best innings figures of his Test career. The report said those were also the best figures by a Bangladesh bowler in an away Test innings, improving on Taijul Islam's 7-138 in Harare.
Cameron Green top-scored for Australia with 67 and ended the series with 184 runs, the highest aggregate on either side. Green and Lyon resumed day two with Australia on 165-8 and added 38 for the ninth wicket, with Lyon contributing 32. Their stand helped extend the lead before Starc, Cummins and Lyon completed a decisive response to Australia's defeat in the series opener.
