Sherwood Claims Tottenham Can Beat Anyone But Rosenior Faces Uncertain Future at Chelsea
Tim Sherwood has declared that Tottenham Hotspur can beat anyone in the Premier League following their recent upturn in form, while simultaneously delivering a damning assessment of Chelsea's current predicament under embattled manager Enzo Rosenior.
Speaking to the media ahead of Tottenham's crucial run-in, Sherwood expressed confidence in Ange Postecoglou's squad: "This Tottenham team has genuine quality. When they're at their best, they can beat any side in this division. The question has always been consistency, but I'm seeing signs that they're starting to find their rhythm at the right time."
However, Sherwood's attention quickly turned to the chaos unfolding at Chelsea, where Rosenior finds himself under intense scrutiny following a series of poor results. The Blues suffered another humiliating defeat at the hands of Brighton, a performance that Sherwood described as "unacceptable at this level."
"Rosenior won't survive this," Sherwood declared. "The players have given up on him, the fans are furious, and the board will have to make a decision. You simply cannot continue with a manager who has lost the dressing room so completely. It's a disaster waiting to happen."
Chelsea's form has been catastrophic in recent weeks, with the team dropping to 14th in the Premier League table. Rosenior, who took over in January, has won just two of his ten matches in charge, leaving the club facing the very real possibility of their lowest league finish in decades.
The former Tottenham manager added: "What's happening at Chelsea is a cautionary tale about what occurs when you prioritised celebrity signings over actual team cohesion. You cannot simply throw money at problems and expect results. Rosenior is paying the price for decisions made far above his head."
