Twelve exceptional female basketball players from across New Hampshire schools have been recognized for their outstanding 2025-26 season performances.

The Seacoast region of New Hampshire has produced another exceptional crop of high school basketball talent during the 2025-26 season, with twelve outstanding female athletes earning recognition as finalists for Player of the Year honors in a competition that showcases the depth and quality of local basketball programs.

Leading the distinguished group is Ava Buchanan from Portsmouth Christian Academy, who captured Division IV Player of the Year honors while establishing a new school scoring record with more than 1,500 career points. The senior guards remarkable consistency and scoring prowess exemplified the elite level of play that has characterized this seasons Seacoast basketball landscape.

Emma Toriello of St. Thomas Aquinas achieved another significant milestone by reaching 1,000 career points while earning Division III Player of the Year recognition. Her achievement demonstrates the sustained excellence that defines championship-caliber high school basketball, combining individual brilliance with team success throughout her distinguished career.

Amaya Beckles of Newmarket High School delivered perhaps the most complete statistical performance among the nominees, averaging 19 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals per game while guiding her team to the Division IV state championship game. Her all-around excellence earned first-team all-state honors and positioned her among the regions premier two-way players.

Avery Littlefield from Dover High School showcased explosive scoring ability as a junior, posting season averages of 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists while recording twelve games with 20 or more points. Her Division I all-state second-team selection reflects both individual achievement and her impact on team success at the highest classification level.

Isabelle Tice led Marshwood High School to a 14-6 record and the Class B South semifinals while averaging 17 points, 4 steals, and 3 assists per game. The junior guards combination of scoring and defensive prowess exemplifies the complete skill set that modern high school basketball demands from its top performers.

Nya Avery established herself as one of the regions most dominant interior players, averaging 16.2 points and 9.5 rebounds for York High School while earning Western Maine Conference Class B first-team recognition. Her double-double production and physical presence in the paint provided the foundation for her teams competitive success.

Wren Horne of Oyster River High School ranked 10th overall in Division II with 12.3 points per game, earning all-state honorable mention recognition for her consistent scoring and leadership contributions. Her ability to impact games through multiple statistical categories highlighted the versatility that coaches value in elite players.

Lexy Rogers from Exeter High School demonstrated exceptional all-around production, leading the Blue Hawks with 14.5 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists per game. Her Division I all-state honorable mention selection reflected her comprehensive impact on both ends of the court throughout the season.

The remaining nominees each contributed significantly to their respective programs success. Kaila Roy averaged 14.4 points and 3.5 steals for Winnacunnet High School, while Jolie Robichaud earned Division I honorable mention recognition while helping Portsmouth High School reach the tournament.

Avery Bouffard of Traip Academy showcased her defensive prowess alongside offensive contributions, earning Class C South first-team all-conference and all-defensive first-team recognition. Her 9 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals per game reflected the balanced excellence that defines elite two-way players.

Meagan Uraskevich provided steady leadership for Spaulding High School while averaging 11 points per game, demonstrating the consistent production that championship teams require from their veteran players.

These twelve exceptional athletes represent the pinnacle of high school basketball achievement in the Seacoast region, each having contributed uniquely to their teams success while establishing individual legacies that will inspire future generations of local basketball players.
