Ryland’s six field goals stun Rams as Chiefs stay unbeaten
Chad Ryland scored every Arizona point in an 18-16 win over the Rams, sealing victory with the final kick. Kansas City stayed unbeaten as Patrick Mahomes reached 100 regular-season wins.

Chad Ryland kicked six field goals, including the winner as time expired, as the Arizona Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Rams 18-16 at SoFi Stadium in NFL Week Six. According to BBC Sport's Ben Collins, Ryland's career-best field-goal total supplied every Arizona point and left Los Angeles at the bottom of the NFC West.

Watch the highlights:

The decisive kick came after the Rams had gone back in front with only 47 seconds left. Colby Parkinson scored a touchdown, and punter Ethan Evans converted the extra point while handling kicking duties. Arizona nevertheless recovered in the closing seconds, with Ryland's sixth successful field goal overturning that late lead and securing the victory.

Los Angeles had already been forced into another change at kicker during the game. The Rams released Harrison Mevis on Tuesday and brought in Blake Grupe from the New York Jets' practice squad. Grupe put them ahead with the opening field goal against Arizona, but then injured his knee making a tackle on the subsequent kick-off.

Arizona improved to 2-4 and moved above the Rams in a division that also includes the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers and defending champions Seattle Seahawks. Both Cardinals victories this season have come at SoFi Stadium: they also defeated the Los Angeles Chargers there in Week One. Arizona won only three games throughout last season.

For the Rams, the defeat followed an overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills the previous Monday. Head coach Sean McVay accepted responsibility for finding a response, BBC Sport reported, after another game slipped away late.

Elsewhere, the Kansas City Chiefs remained unbeaten by defeating the Chargers 22-6. Kenneth Walker rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns, taking his season total to a league-leading 665 rushing yards. Patrick Mahomes reached 100 regular-season victories in his 131st start, matching Tom Brady's record for reaching that milestone.

Kansas City and the Minnesota Vikings both stood at 5-0, while San Francisco's next game was against Washington on Monday night. The Chargers fell to 0-6, leaving them and the 0-5 Miami Dolphins as the league's only winless teams, according to the BBC report.
