Robinson Leads England Rout as Pakistan Fold for 110 at Lord's

England took firm control of the second Test against Pakistan at Lord's after dismissing the tourists for 110 and closing day two on 81-3 in their second innings. That left the hosts 261 runs ahead when bad light stopped play, with a series victory within reach after their emphatic win in the opening Test.

BBC Sport reported that England's four seamers shared the wickets in a relentless display. Ollie Robinson led the attack with 4-11, while Jofra Archer claimed 3-26. Josh Tongue removed opener Abdullah Shafique for five and captain Babar Azam for eight, and Gus Atkinson completed the four-man pace unit.

Pakistan's innings lasted only 37.2 overs. Azan Awais supplied the main resistance with 46 from 102 balls before Robinson dismissed him, while Saud Shakeel made 16. Robinson also removed Mohammad Rizwan for seven after England successfully reviewed the original decision. Archer ended the innings by bowling Mohammad Abbas for two. Imam-ul-Haq did not bat because of a calf injury, according to the match reports.

England had begun the day on 248-9 but stretched their first innings to 290 through a 47-run final-wicket partnership. Atkinson scored 45 from 46 balls before Ali Usman dismissed him, while Tongue finished unbeaten on 30 from 48. The stand gave England valuable runs before their seam attack exploited the conditions.

Pakistan did make early progress when England batted again. Khurram Shahzad dismissed Ben Duckett for one and Jordan Cox for 11, before Mohammad Ali trapped Joe Root lbw for 24. Emilio Gay steadied the innings with an unbeaten 30 from 69 balls, and Harry Brook was seven not out at the close. Brook also survived an lbw decision that was overturned on review from his first delivery.

The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that only 70 overs were possible during the day because of a passing shower and the late bad light. England nevertheless advanced the match rapidly, turning a 180-run first-innings advantage into a lead of 261 with seven second-innings wickets still available heading into day three.
