Riakporhe Vows to 'Do Real Damage' as Rising Boxing Star Outlines Heavyweight Championship Blueprint
Rising British heavyweight boxing star Fabio Riakporhe has declared his intentions to become a genuine force in the division, insisting he is 'very serious' about claiming world title honours and plans to 'do real damage' in the heavyweight landscape.

Fabio Riakporhe is setting his sights firmly on heavyweight boxing's top tier, with the undefeated British prospect outlining an ambitious path toward world championship glory. The 30-year-old Londoner's recent statement about 'doing real damage' at heavyweight level signals a new phase in his career as he targets major fights in 2026 and beyond.

Riakporhe (17-0, 13 KOs) has built an impressive resume since turning professional in 2018, with his most notable victory coming against former world title challenger Hughie Fury last year. The former Cruiserweight world title contender has been vocal about his belief that he belongs among the division's elite.

'I have always been serious about this,' Riakporhe stated at a press conference in London. 'People might think it's just talk, but I'm planning to back up everything I say. I want to do real damage in this division. I'm not here to make up numbers - I'm here to take titles.'

The London fighter's promoter has already begun discussions with Top Rank and Matchroom about potential high-profile matchups for the latter half of 2026. Names mentioned include former world title challenger Dillian Whyca and emerging American prospect Jared Anderson.

Riakporhe's aggressive style and punching power have drawn comparisons to domestic rivals like Daniel Dubois and Joshua Buatsi. However, the South London native believes his mental approach sets him apart from other rising heavyweights.

'I have been in with quality opposition and I have learned from every fight,' he explained. 'The heavyweight division is wide open right now. There are belts scattered across different promoters, and that creates opportunities for someone like me who is ready to take them.'

With the heavyweight landscape in flux following Oleksandr Usyk's dominance and the eventual clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua still uncertain, Riakporhe sees a window of opportunity that he intends to exploit. His team is reportedly negotiating for a top-15 opponent to be announced within the coming weeks.
