Pittsburgh NFL Draft to Feature Massive Free Fan Experience Across Two Venues
NFL officials reveal extensive activities spanning Point State Park and the North Shore for draft weekend.

As the massive NFL Draft stage takes shape in downtown Pittsburgh, visible even from the Fort Pitt Tunnel approach, league officials have unveiled an ambitious fan experience that will transform the city into football central for three days this month.

The 2026 NFL Draft will sprawl across two distinct areas of Pittsburgh, creating what Vice President of NFL Global Events Nicki Ewell describes as comprehensive entertainment spanning both Point State Park and the North Shore. All activities will be free to the public, representing a significant investment in fan engagement by the league.

Point State Park will serve as the glamorous heart of the draft experience. The iconic red carpet, where top prospects will make their grand entrance before the opening round, will be positioned prominently for maximum visual impact. Following the first round festivities, this same red carpet area will transform into an interactive photo opportunity for fans throughout the remainder of the weekend.

The park will also host a dedicated autograph stage where Pittsburgh Steelers players, franchise legends, and stars from across the NFL will meet with fans. This personal interaction component represents one of the most anticipated elements of the weekend, giving supporters direct access to their football heroes.

Across the river on the North Shore, the experience expands exponentially beyond the primary draft theater. The NFL has strategically utilized existing infrastructure, including the turf field installed by the Steelers outside their stadium, to create multiple entertainment zones.

"We'll have our locker room exhibit there, our Hall of Fame exhibit there," Ewell explained. "We are also using the existing turf outside the stadium that the Steelers installed, all this beautiful little turf field for play 60 zone, more NFL shop, more food and beverage, more bars. So a lot of things to see and do over the course of those three days."

The North Shore location will feature immersive exhibits that transport fans inside the NFL experience. The locker room exhibit promises to give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at professional football facilities, while the Hall of Fame display will celebrate the sport's greatest legends.

Young fans haven't been forgotten in the planning. The Play 60 zone will provide interactive football activities designed to engage the next generation of supporters. This family-friendly component ensures the draft experience appeals to attendees of all ages.

Commercial elements will be seamlessly integrated throughout both venues. Additional NFL shops will offer official merchandise, while expanded food and beverage options, including multiple bars, will keep visitors satisfied during the three-day celebration.

However, the key to accessing this extensive free entertainment lies in preparation. Ewell emphasized that downloading the NFL One Pass App and registering in advance is essential for all prospective attendees. This digital platform will serve as the comprehensive guide to draft week, providing crucial information ranging from arrival instructions to detailed event schedules.

The app will also include real-time updates about any scheduling changes and feature an interactive map of the entire draft layout. Given the scope of activities across multiple locations, this navigation tool will prove invaluable for maximizing the fan experience.

The Pittsburgh NFL Draft represents the league's continued commitment to creating memorable experiences for its supporters. By offering extensive free programming across iconic city locations, the NFL aims to make this year's draft accessible to all football fans regardless of economic circumstances.

With the stage construction clearly visible and excitement building throughout the Steel City, Pittsburgh prepares to welcome football fans from across the nation for what promises to be an unforgettable draft weekend celebration.
