Papers: Rashford Happy to Take Pay Cut to Seal Barcelona Move
Marcus Rashford is reportedly willing to accept a significant salary reduction as he pushes for a move to Barcelona this summer, with talks advancing between the clubs over a potential transfer.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is prepared to take a substantial pay cut to secure his dream move to Barcelona, according to multiple reports emerging from both Manchester and Spain today. The England international has grown increasingly frustrated with his lack of playing time at Old Trafford this season and has made his desire for a new challenge clear to club officials.

Watch the highlights:

Sources close to the negotiations suggest Rashford is willing to reduce his £300,000-per-week wages by nearly 40 percent to facilitate the transfer. Barcelona, who have been long-term admirers of the 27-year-old, have identified him as a primary target to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.

"Marcus is determined to get his career back on track," a source close to the player revealed. "He loves Manchester United and respects everything the club has done for him, but he needs regular football to rediscover his best form. Barcelona represents the perfect opportunity."

Manchester United, while reluctant to lose a product of their academy, are understood to be open to offers in the region of £50-60 million for a player who scored 30 goals just two seasons ago. The potential sale would provide significant funds for Ruben Amorim's planned squad rebuild this summer.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has personally lobbied for Rashford's signing, believing his pace and versatility would perfectly complement the club's existing attacking threats. The German coach reportedly sees Rashford as capable of playing across the front three positions in his tactical system.

Negotiations are expected to intensify over the coming weeks, with both clubs aiming to reach an agreement before the transfer window opens. Rashford, who has scored 13 goals in 35 appearances this season, remains fully focused on United's remaining fixtures while talks progress in the background.
