Olise double powers France to 4-1 comeback win over Belgium
Michael Olise scored twice and set up another goal as France overturned Belgium’s lead with four late goals. The win kept Zinedine Zidane unbeaten and France top of Group A1.

France scored four times from the 77th minute onwards to beat Belgium 4-1 at the Stade de France, with substitute Michael Olise providing two goals and an assist. According to the Guardian's agency report, the Nations League comeback gave Zinedine Zidane his first home win as France coach and kept his unbeaten start intact.

Watch the highlights:

Belgium had led through Dodi Lukébakio, who ran on to Roméo Lavia's pass through the French defence and finished in the first half. The visitors were missing suspended midfielders Kevin De Bruyne and Youri Tielemans, but remained ahead until late in the match. Goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt, making his Belgium debut, stopped attempts from Esteban Lepaul and Rayan Cherki as France sought a way back.

Désiré Doué broke that resistance in the 77th minute, turning and driving a low shot into the net from the edge of the penalty area. Four minutes later, Olise supplied the cutback that Cherki converted to put France ahead. The two goals reversed a contest in which Belgium had been pursuing their first competitive victory over France in 45 years.

Olise then added the goals that made the result decisive. He scored France's third in the 88th minute before Doué helped create another opportunity for him in stoppage time. His contribution followed another match-winning intervention against the same opponents: France had beaten Belgium 1-0 in Brussels the previous week through his late goal.

The victory came after Zidane made 10 changes for France's final game of the three-week international window. Ousmane Dembélé was the only player retained and again wore the captain's armband with Kylian Mbappé absent through injury. Defender Leny Yoro and goalkeeper Guillaume Restes made their international debuts. Speaking to TF1 afterwards, Zidane acknowledged the difficulties France encountered and praised their second-half response, the Guardian reported.

France moved three points ahead of Italy at the top of Group A1, while Belgium stood a further point behind. Italy beat Turkey 3-1 in Bologna, with Gianluca Scamacca, Riccardo Calafiori and Pio Esposito scoring. That result left Turkey with four successive defeats, while France's late recovery brought Zidane's side closer to the quarter-finals.
