Murphy beats Zhao to reach World Championship semi-finals
Shaun Murphy produced a superb performance to defeat Zhao Xintong 13-10 and reach the semi-finals of the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible.
Watch the highlights:
The result dashed Zhao's hopes of overcoming the so-called "Crucible curse" - a term associated with the difficulty many players face in winning the title for the first time at the Sheffield venue.
Murphy's 13-10 victory was a composed display in the concluding stages, seeing off a determined challenge from his opponent. The win marks another strong run at the prestigious tournament for the experienced campaigner.
Zhao, who has been tipped as a future champion, was unable to break through to the last four on this occasion. Murphy will now face either Mark Selby or Kyren Wilson in the semi-finals as he continues his pursuit of a second World Championship title.
