Millwall Beat QPR to Climb Back Into Second in Championship

Millwall secured a crucial 2-1 victory over local rivals Queens Park Rangers at The Den on Saturday, propelling them back into the Championship's automatic promotion places with just six games remaining in the season.

The Lions dominated from the opening whistle, with striker Zian Flemming breaking the deadlock in the 23rd minute with a clinical header from a Ben Richards corner. Millwall doubled their advantage just before halftime when midfielder Billy Mitchell curled in a spectacular effort from outside the box that gave QPR goalkeeper Asmir Begovic no chance.

QPR pulled one back through substitute Lucas Andersen in the 67th minute, setting up a tense final quarter. However, Millwall's defense held firm under pressure to seal the victory and move them back above Leeds United into second place with 72 points from 40 matches.
