Manchester City Agree £65m Deal for Everton Winger Iliman Ndiaye

Manchester City have agreed a deal worth up to £65 million to sign Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, according to BBC Sport. The agreement is understood to include a guaranteed payment of £60 million, with a further £5 million available through add-ons. The move would take the Senegal international to City after two seasons with Everton.

Ndiaye joined Everton from Marseille in 2024. His prospective transfer to Manchester City follows a separate route involving Tottenham that did not proceed, despite Tottenham and Everton reaching agreements on Friday night over Ndiaye moving to London and Richarlison returning to Everton in a different transaction.

BBC Sport reported that Richarlison did not agree personal terms with Everton, which had made an offer understood to be worth £35 million for the Brazil forward. With that part of the proposed business unresolved, Tottenham could not complete its move for Ndiaye. Richarlison subsequently said on Instagram that he remains under contract at Tottenham and available to the club.

Tottenham have since entered talks with Chelsea over a season-long loan for winger Mykhailo Mudryk, BBC Sport added. For Everton, the agreement with Manchester City creates another major piece of transfer business while the club is also pursuing Monaco striker Folarin Balogun.

City turned to Ndiaye as an attempted £80 million move for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo appeared likely to collapse on Monday. Liverpool had been willing to sell the Netherlands international if a replacement could be secured, even after completing a deal worth up to £123 million for France forward Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool also explored moves for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh and Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr, but BBC Sport reported that the valuations presented difficulties. Gakpo is therefore expected to remain at Anfield unless Liverpool can revive a deal for another winger before Tuesday's deadline. Against that backdrop, City's agreement for Ndiaye gives the club a different attacking addition, subject to the remaining steps of the transfer being completed.
