Mamore reach youth final after 51 dismissals and Uberlandia withdrawal
Uberlandia conceded the return leg after 43 players and eight staff were sent off in the teams' first meeting. Mamore advance to the final.

Mamore have advanced to a Brazilian under-20 final after Uberlandia conceded the second leg of their semi-final following a first match that produced 51 dismissals. BBC Sport reported that 43 players and eight coaching staff members were sent off during the Minas Gerais championship tie, leaving Mamore with only seven players available for the return fixture.

Watch the highlights:

According to the referee's report cited by the BBC, the confrontation began after Mamore went 3-1 ahead. Davi taunted the opposing bench during the celebrations, and Uberlandia goalkeeping coach Paulo Sergio Dias Dos Santos entered the pitch to confront him. Three players had already been dismissed before the wider clashes led to the remaining red cards.

The BBC reported that the match was interrupted for around 40 minutes before referee Fernando Patrick Drosghic Modesto abandoned it. Its account also cited a police report listing 14 broken doors, damaged showers and windows, and destroyed furniture at Parque do Sabia Stadium. Those details describe the reported damage without establishing individual responsibility for it.

Brazilian outlet ge reported that the Minas Gerais football federation approved Uberlandia's withdrawal on November 4, cancelling the second leg scheduled for Sunday in Patos de Minas. The decision sends Mamore into the second-division state under-20 final and secures promotion to the top division for next year. Uberlandia described conceding the fixture as an act of fair play.

Uberlandia remain eligible for the third-place contest, which also offers promotion, because the federation does not regard the withdrawal from this semi-final leg as abandonment of the competition, ge reported. Automatic suspensions from the dismissals will be treated as served despite the cancelled match, allowing those affected to take part in the final or third-place stage.

That arrangement does not close the disciplinary case. According to ge's account of the federation's position, the incidents will still be considered by the state's sports justice tribunal, which can impose sanctions on both clubs. The federation also indicated that Uberlandia's home match in the third-place contest should be played without spectators for security reasons.
