Luis Enrique Extends PSG Contract Through 2030

Paris Saint-Germain have extended head coach Luis Enrique's contract through June 2030, securing the Spaniard for three more years beyond the end of his previous agreement. BBC Sport reported the deal on Friday, while PSG confirmed that the coach was among six first-team figures whose contracts had been renewed.

Luis Enrique had been tied to the French champions until June 2027 under an extension announced in February 2025. PSG's new agreement therefore adds another three seasons to his tenure. The 56-year-old originally joined the club in July 2023 on a two-year contract after previously coaching Spain, Barcelona, Celta Vigo and Roma.

The announcement also covered five members of Luis Enrique's squad. According to reports from AS and Cadena SER, defenders Lucas Beraldo and Willian Pacho, midfielders Joao Neves and Senny Mayulu have signed through June 2031. Spain midfielder Fabian Ruiz has extended his deal through June 2028.

PSG revealed the renewals shortly before their Ligue 1 home match against Monaco on September 4. The fixture was the club's first league game of the season at the Parc des Princes and their third match of the league campaign, according to PSG's official schedule. All five players included in the contract announcement were also named in Luis Enrique's squad for the Monaco game.

Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said in a statement reported by AS that the coach and players represent both the present and future of PSG's project. He framed the group of renewals as a commitment to building over the long term and continuing the club's collective development.

The latest deal lengthens a tenure that began with immediate domestic success. PSG's account of Luis Enrique's first season records victories in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Trophee des Champions, as well as a run to the Champions League semi-finals. Friday's coordinated announcement now keeps the head coach and several younger members of his squad under contract well beyond the current campaign.
