Liverpool Agree £123m Package for PSG Forward Bradley Barcola

Liverpool have agreed a deal worth up to £123 million with Paris Saint-Germain for France forward Bradley Barcola, according to BBC Sport. The agreement is reported to include an initial payment of £106 million and a further £17 million in potential add-ons, bringing a summer-long pursuit close to completion.

The transfer is not yet final. BBC Sport reported that the 23-year-old is expected to undergo a medical over the weekend before signing a long-term contract at Anfield. Until those remaining steps are completed, Barcola remains a PSG player despite the clubs settling on the financial package.

PSG had initially valued Barcola at £145 million, the BBC reported. The latest terms therefore represent a compromise, although the add-ons could still make the overall cost one of the largest in Liverpool's history. Earlier reporting from the Guardian and Sky Sports described an agreement in principle worth about £120 million; BBC Sport's newer account put the maximum value at £123 million and supplied the breakdown.

Barcola has been Liverpool's principal attacking target during the summer window. The Guardian reported that he had two years remaining on his PSG contract, had told the French club he would not sign an extension and was keen on a move to Liverpool. Negotiations accelerated as the transfer deadline approached after PSG had previously held firm on its higher valuation.

The winger joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for a reported €45 million, according to RTÉ. He subsequently formed part of the PSG squads that won consecutive Champions League titles. RTÉ also reported that Barcola scored three goals for France at the 2026 World Cup, adding to his standing as one of the most prominent young forwards in European football.

Liverpool have been seeking to strengthen their wide attacking options following Mohamed Salah's departure earlier in the summer. Barcola's prospective arrival would address that need, but the immediate focus is now on the medical and the remaining formalities. No signing announcement has yet been made, and completion of the transfer remains conditional on those final steps.
