Lewandowski hits seventh Poland hat-trick as Dzeko ends international career
Robert Lewandowski scored three times in Poland's 6-0 Nations League win over Romania. In the same group, Edin Dzeko made his final Bosnia-Herzegovina appearance in a draw with Sweden.

Robert Lewandowski took his international tally to 92 goals with a hat-trick as Poland beat Romania 6-0 in Warsaw in the Nations League, BBC Sport reported. The 38-year-old's seventh three-goal performance for his country came on a night when fellow veteran striker Edin Dzeko ended his international career with Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Watch the highlights:

Romania played with 10 men after defender Radu Dragusin was dismissed in the 22nd minute. Lewandowski scored Poland's opener from the penalty spot, then added a second shortly after half-time. An own goal and finishes from Piotr Zielinski and Jan Bednarek extended the advantage before Lewandowski completed his hat-trick to round off the scoring.

Despite the emphatic result, Poland remained third in Group B4, with Romania fourth. For Romania coach Gheorghe Hagi, the defeat also brought an unwanted distinction. According to the BBC report, Hagi, now in his second spell leading the national side, became the first Romania manager to lose his opening three competitive matches.

Elsewhere in the group, Bosnia-Herzegovina drew 1-1 with Sweden in Zenica as Dzeko made his 152nd and final international appearance. Viktor Gyokeres gave Sweden the lead before Kerim Alajbegovic equalised. Dzeko also put the ball in the net late in the first half, but his effort was ruled out because the ball had gone out of play earlier in the move.

The farewell celebrations began during the match, with fireworks after 11 minutes marking Dzeko's shirt number. The 40-year-old former Manchester City forward received a standing ovation when he was substituted in the 62nd minute. He finished his Bosnia-Herzegovina career with 73 goals, according to BBC Sport's account of his final appearance.

Supporters and team-mates continued the tribute after the final whistle. An official ceremony, a guard of honour and a drone display carrying messages of thanks marked the occasion. Dzeko then completed a lap of honour as fans threw soft toys towards him, bringing an extended farewell to a close.

In other Nations League results, Kevin de Bruyne scored in both halves and Romelu Lukaku added the third as Belgium beat Turkey 3-0 to move second in Group A1. Milos Kerkez scored Hungary's winner against Georgia in Budapest. Hungary's first victory of the campaign left them third in Group B2, three points behind Northern Ireland.
