LeBron Makes MORE History as Lakers Edge Rockets in Thriller
LeBron James continues to shatter records as the Los Angeles Lakers secured a crucial victory over the Houston Rockets, with the veteran superstar adding another milestone to his legendary career.

LeBron James has done it again. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar continues to defy Father Time and etch his name deeper into NBA history, as he led the Lakers to a thrilling victory over the Houston Rockets on Saturday night at the Crypto.com Arena.

Watch the highlights:

The 40-year-old phenom recorded his 112th career triple-double, becoming the oldest player in NBA history to achieve this feat, surpassing his own record set earlier this season. James finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in the 118-115 victory that keeps the Lakers' playoff hopes alive.

"I just go out there and play my game," James said in his post-game interview. "Every night I step on that floor, I'm trying to give my team the best chance to win. The records are nice, but at the end of the day, it's about getting victories."

The Lakers (42-35) currently sit in the seventh seed in the Western Conference standings, just 1.5 games ahead of the ninth-placed Rockets (41-37). With the regular season winding down, every game carries immense playoff implications for both franchises.

Rookie sensation Alperen Şengün led the Rockets with a stellar 27-point, 12-rebound performance, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Lakers' late-game execution. The Turkish center has been a revelation this season, establishing himself as Houston's cornerstone piece for the future.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick praised James's unwavering commitment: "What LeBron is doing at his age is unprecedented. His leadership, his basketball IQ, and his ability to still dominate games at the highest level is something we should all appreciate while we still can."

The victory marks the Lakers' fourth consecutive home win and provides crucial momentum as they enter the final stretch of the regular season. With matchups against the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets looming, James's latest historic night could prove to be a turning point in the Lakers' playoff push.
