LeBron James delivered a vintage performance as the Los Angeles Lakers stormed back late to defeat the Houston Rockets 112-108, taking a commanding 3-0 lead in their first-round playoff series. The veteran superstar proved once again why he remains one of the most impactful players in basketball despite his advancing age, orchestrating a fourth-quarter rally that silenced the home crowd.

Watch the highlights:

James finished with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists in a performance that showcased his all-around brilliance. His ability to elevate his game when the stakes are highest has been a defining characteristic throughout his illustrious career, and Friday night was no exception. With the Lakers trailing by six entering the final quarter, James took over the game, scoring 12 of his points in the period while also creating opportunities for his teammates.

"When the game is on the line, you want the ball in LeBron's hands," teammate Austin Reaves said. "He's been in these situations countless times and knows how to execute."

The Rockets fought valiantly throughout, with Alperen Şengün continuing his impressive postseason debut with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Houston's young core showed promise but ultimately couldn't contain the Lakers' veteran experience in crunch time. The loss marks a third consecutive defeat in the series for a team that finished the regular season strongly.

The Lakers now sit on the verge of a sweep, which would advance them to the next round with minimal wear on their bodies. James, now in his 22nd professional season, continues to defy Father Time and looks determined to add another championship chapter to his legacy. Game 4 provides the Rockets one final opportunity to avoid elimination before the series shifts back to Los Angeles.
