Lauren Price title defence against Michaela Kotaskova confirmed for Cardiff on BBC
Lauren Price will defend her three welterweight world titles against Michaela Kotaskova in Cardiff on 20 November. BBC Two and BBC iPlayer will broadcast the bout live.

Lauren Price will defend her unified welterweight world titles against Michaela Kotaskova at Cardiff's Utilita Arena on Friday, 20 November, BBC Sport reported. The newly announced bout will be broadcast live on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer, bringing the Welsh champion's return to the venue to a free-to-air audience across the UK.

Price holds the IBF, WBA and WBC belts and last defended them at the same arena in April, when she overcame mandatory challenger Stephanie Pineiro Aquino. The 32-year-old southpaw, a former Olympic champion from Bargoed, will again fight in Wales. In comments carried by the BBC, she welcomed the chance to compete in front of her home supporters and said she intended to retain her titles.

Kotaskova, 34, is the WBF titleholder and has lost once in 15 professional fights. That defeat came on points against Chantelle Cameron in April 2026, when they contested the vacant WBO super-welterweight championship. The Czech challenger is returning to welterweight for the Price contest and remains unbeaten in that division, according to the BBC report.

The challenger said she respected Price's achievements but was travelling to Cardiff to win the belts. She described welterweight as her natural division and said facing an arena dominated by the champion's supporters would add to her motivation. Price, meanwhile, acknowledged Kotaskova's experience at world level while expressing confidence in her own standing in the division.

Promoter Ben Shalom confirmed the homecoming and the BBC broadcast, describing another Cardiff world-title event as an important occasion for Price. Graham Davies, managing editor for Sport at BBC Cymru Wales, said the coverage would allow viewers throughout the UK to follow the champion's return. Both BBC Two and the broadcaster's streaming service are included in the announced television arrangements.

Two undercard contests have also been confirmed. Welsh featherweight Rhys Edwards will meet Scotland's Lee McGregor, a former British, Commonwealth and European champion, for the WBA continental title. Cardiff middleweight Kyran Jones, who is unbeaten as a professional, will face Liverpool's Sean Arkwright on the same bill.
