CeeDee Lamb produced a career-best 17 receptions as the Dallas Cowboys beat the Houston Texans 34-30 on Sunday, finishing a comeback that brought Dallas to 2-2. Lamb's performance also moved him up the club's record books. According to the Cowboys' official game report, he passed Drew Pearson to take fourth place on Dallas' career receiving-yardage list with 7,914 yards. His reception total was the second-highest in a single game in franchise history. Prescott finished with 335 passing yards, completing 32 of his 45 attempts, as Dallas narrowly led the overall yardage count, 399-397.

Houston had controlled the first half, building a 16-6 advantage through a Nico Collins touchdown and three Ka'imi Fairbairn field goals. Field Level Media reported that Dallas began its response with KaVontae Turpin's 48-yard return of the second-half kickoff. Javonte Williams then scored on an eight-yard run, although the Texans answered with Collins' second touchdown to restore their 10-point cushion.

Williams supplied two more rushing touchdowns as Dallas turned the game around. His third score put the visitors ahead 27-23 in the fourth quarter, giving the Cowboys their first lead. The three-touchdown rushing performance was a career high, according to the team's report. Dallas also held Houston below 100 rushing yards, the first time the Cowboys had kept an opponent under that mark this season.

The Texans still found a response. On third-and-14, Dalton Schultz caught a short pass and lateralled to David Montgomery, who advanced to the Dallas six-yard line. Woody Marks scored on the next play to put Houston back in front. Field Level Media reported that Lamb's eventual winning reception came with 40 seconds remaining, leaving the Texans at 0-4.

The result continued a run of high-scoring Cowboys games. BBC Sport noted that each of Dallas' first four contests had produced at least 48 combined points. Lamb finished the week-four victory with 498 receiving yards for the season, leading the NFL in that category.
