Kidderminster knock out Doncaster as Exeter beat Huddersfield in FA Cup
Kidderminster beat Doncaster 3-0 and Exeter won 2-1 at Huddersfield to reach the FA Cup second round. Blackpool avoided an upset at Hornchurch with a winner deep into extra time.

Kidderminster advanced to the FA Cup second round with a 3-0 home win over Doncaster, while Exeter also eliminated higher-division opposition by beating Huddersfield 2-1. According to the Guardian's Saturday roundup, the National League Harriers defeated League One visitors at Aggborough, and League Two Exeter won away against the League One leaders.

Watch the highlights:

Lewis Walker put Kidderminster ahead in the 22nd minute after Maz Kouhyar supplied a cutback. Walker's first attempt struck the post, but he scored from the rebound. He then threatened with two further efforts before helping create the second goal, carrying the ball forward and setting up Kouhyar to finish in the 36th minute.

Doncaster appealed unsuccessfully for a penalty when Alfie May went down while trying to reach Jordan Thomas's pass. Two minutes later, Kidderminster added their third: goalkeeper Josh Clarke parried Kouhyar's effort and David Davis converted the loose ball. Kouhyar, on loan from Notts County, had been involved in all three goals.

Manager Paul Wotton said Kidderminster's opening goal helped lift the crowd and praised his players for coping with opponents from two divisions above them. In comments reported by the Guardian, he described the result as a reward for recent performances that had not previously produced the returns his side wanted.

At Huddersfield, Exeter took a 12th-minute lead when Jack Taylor met Luca Woodhouse's cross at the far post. The hosts responded after the interval, with Ibane Bowat heading in Cameron Humphreys' corner eight minutes into the second half. Charlie Cummins restored Exeter's advantage nine minutes from time, finishing from Reece Cole's cutback to settle the tie.

Blackpool needed extra time to overcome National League side Hornchurch 2-1. Henry Hearn had given the hosts the lead from Angelo Balanta's delivery, before Jordan Brown equalised in the 55th minute with a volley from Josh Bowler's cross. Bowler had entered the game as a half-time substitute.

Hornchurch subsequently lost Henry Sandat to a sending-off for pulling back Bowler, and Finley Munroe hit the bar with the resulting free-kick. The decisive goal eventually arrived in the 118th minute, when Tom Bloxham supplied Bowler and the substitute curled in the winner to send Blackpool through.
