Iraola, Silva and Alonso on Chelsea Manager Shortlist as Blues Prepare for Ambitious Rebuild
Chelsea have identified Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola, Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi's assistant Roberto Silva, and Real Madrid's Xabi Alonso as leading candidates to replace the outgoing manager.

Chelsea have drawn up a three-man shortlist in their search for a new manager, with Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, Brighton's assistant Roberto Silva, and Real Madrid's Xabi Alonso emerging as the leading candidates.

Watch the highlights:

Iraola has impressed at Bournemouth since taking over, guiding the Cherries to a comfortable mid-table position with an attacking brand of football that has caught the attention of top clubs. The 42-year-old Spanish coach was a surprise package in his first Premier League season but has proven his tactical nous against some of the league's biggest sides.

Silva works alongside Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton but is being considered for a head coach role after his impressive work with the Seagulls. The Brazilian has developed a reputation as an innovative tactical mind who could bring fresh ideas to Stamford Bridge.

Alonso, currently at Real Madrid, has been linked with several top jobs after his outstanding work with Bayer Leverkusen last season. The former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder guided Leverkusen to an unbeaten Bundesliga season and remains highly rated across European football.

Chelsea's current manager is expected to leave at the end of the season, prompting the club's hierarchy to begin their search early. The Blues have invested heavily in recent transfer windows and are seeking someone who can deliver immediate results.

A club statement read: "We are conducting a thorough process to find the right candidate. These three names are among several we're considering as we plan for next season."

Chelsea currently sit in the upper half of the Premier League but have struggled for consistency, making a managerial change a priority for the club's new owners.
