Hunter makes two-way history as Texans edge Jaguars at Wembley
Travis Hunter caught a touchdown and made an interception in the same game, but Houston won 34-31 on Ka'imi Fairbairn's last-second field goal. The result gave the Texans their second victory of the season.

Travis Hunter delivered a rare combination of offensive and defensive success for Jacksonville, but the Houston Texans left Wembley Stadium with a 34-31 victory on Sunday. Ka'imi Fairbairn settled the divisional contest with a 49-yard field goal as time expired, according to the Associated Press, after the Jaguars had erased a late deficit.

Watch the highlights:

Hunter caught a seven-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to bring Jacksonville within three points at 31-28. He then intercepted Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud in the end zone, giving the Jaguars another opportunity. Cam Little converted a 60-yard field goal to level the scores with just under two minutes remaining, before Stroud led Houston into range for the winner.

Stroud threw three touchdown passes, two to tight end Foster Moreau and one to Jaylin Noel, the AP reported. Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence answered with four scoring passes, including two to Bhayshul Tuten. The Jaguars nevertheless could not complete their comeback, and Fairbairn's final kick gave Houston consecutive victories after its winless start to the season.

BBC Sport reported that Hunter became the first player since Philadelphia's Brian Dawkins in 2002 to record a touchdown catch and an interception in the same game. He was the fourth to achieve that combination since the NFL merger in 1970. Both of his decisive plays came in the final quarter, with Jacksonville still chasing Houston.

The performance came in Hunter's 13th NFL game. The 23-year-old was selected second overall in the 2025 draft and entered the league seeking to become its first full-time two-way player in three decades. Playing wide receiver and cornerback, he finished Sunday's game with four receptions for 59 yards and Jacksonville's only interception, according to BBC Sport.

The result reversed Jacksonville's experience in London a week earlier, when it beat Philadelphia with a late kick before remaining in the city to face Houston. Sunday's meeting concluded this year's London series and was the highest-scoring London game since 2015, BBC Sport reported. Jacksonville fell to 4-2, while Houston claimed its second win of the season.
