Hull City Complete Six Deadline-Day Signings Led by Iroegbunam Deal

Hull City completed six signings on transfer deadline day, with midfielder Tim Iroegbunam arriving from Everton in a deal that could reach £22 million. BBC Sport reported that Hull will pay an initial £13 million for the 23-year-old, with another £9 million potentially due in add-ons. Iroegbunam signed a five-year contract after two seasons at Everton.

The promoted club also secured 19-year-old Robinio Vaz from Roma on loan. The France Under-20 international's agreement includes an option for Hull to buy him. Winger Sorba Thomas joined from Championship side Stoke City for an undisclosed fee and signed a four-year contract. Thomas, 27, recorded 10 goals and 13 assists across 45 Championship appearances last season, according to the BBC.

Hull strengthened their forward line with Ilyas Ansah from Union Berlin. The 6ft 4in Germany Under-21 international, who turns 22 in November, agreed a five-year contract. BBC Sport said the reported price was 15 million euros, or £12.8 million, with a further 12 million euros, or £10.2 million, in possible add-ons. Ansah scored five goals in 36 appearances in all competitions for Union Berlin last season.

Right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy moved from Genoa in a £12 million deal. The 22-year-old began his career at Arsenal, spent two years with the Italian club and was part of the England Under-21 squad that retained the European Championship in Slovakia in 2025. Full-back Cody Drameh is moving in the other direction after appearing in each of Hull's first three matches this season, with Genoa set to pay £3.4 million.

The final addition was Olympiakos midfielder Christos Mouzakitis, with the BBC reporting a fee of £13 million. The 19-year-old Greece international came through the Olympiakos academy and has already made 50 league appearances for the club. He has won 11 senior caps for his country.

The deadline-day business took Hull's summer intake to 18 players as the club rebuilt for its return to the Premier League after nine years away. The Tigers have won their opening two league matches following promotion. The six additions span midfield, attack and defence, giving Hull several longer-term signings alongside the loan move for Vaz.
