Hull City Sign Mohamed-Ali Cho From Nice on Five-Year Deal

Hull City have signed French forward Mohamed-Ali Cho from Nice on a five-year contract, adding a 12th new player to their squad during the summer window. BBC Sport reported the completed move on Thursday as Hull continued reshaping their group following promotion to the Premier League.

Cho arrives after two and a half years with Nice. The 22-year-old made 93 appearances for the Ligue 1 club, scoring 12 goals and contributing 13 assists. Those totals give Hull another attacking option with experience in one of Europe’s major domestic leagues, although the report did not disclose a transfer fee or other financial terms for his move.

The forward also brings experience from continental competition. He appeared 13 times in the Europa League for Nice and previously featured in the Champions League for Spanish club Real Sociedad. Cho made 40 appearances for Real Sociedad between June 2022 and January 2024 before returning to France with Nice.

Born in France and raised in England, Cho began his senior career at Angers. He made his professional debut at 16 and became the youngest scorer in the French club’s history, according to BBC Sport. At international level, he represented England at under-16 level before switching allegiance to France, for whom he has played at under-21 level.

The signing forms part of a major recruitment drive at Hull. BBC Sport said the club have spent more than £75 million since beating Middlesbrough in the Championship play-off final. That spending includes a club-record fee for Senegal defender Nobel Mendy, with Cho now joining a group of 12 summer additions assembled for Hull’s return to the top flight.

Hull entered the new Premier League season after nine years outside the division and began with a landmark result. Their opening fixture produced the club’s first top-flight victory over Manchester United. The addition of Cho follows that winning start and gives Hull a player who has already operated in Ligue 1, La Liga and two European club competitions. The five-year agreement also places him under contract for the longer term as the promoted club continues its first Premier League campaign since returning.
