Horne hits post as Glasgow and Ulster share 33-33 draw
Glasgow Warriors and Ulster scored five tries apiece in a 33-33 United Rugby Championship draw. George Horne struck the upright with a late penalty after Ulster recovered to level.

Glasgow Warriors and Ulster finished level at 33-33 at Scotstoun after George Horne struck the post with a penalty four minutes from time. BBC Sport reported that both teams scored five tries in a United Rugby Championship match shaped by yellow cards and successive comebacks. Ulster were pursuing their first victory in Glasgow for more than five years.

Watch the highlights:

The visitors lost Jacob Stockdale from their starting side during the warm-up, denying him a planned 150th appearance, but opened the scoring through Bryn Ward in the fourth minute. Jack Murphy converted before Josh McKay's try and Horne's conversion brought Glasgow level. Dan Lancaster's yellow card for a deliberate knock-on then gave Ulster an advantage, and Ethan McIlroy found a gap to score.

Kyle Rowe answered for Glasgow after a pass from Stafford McDowall, with Horne's conversion putting the hosts ahead. A penalty awarded to Glasgow was subsequently reversed when Horne threw the ball at Ulster hooker Tom Stewart. Ulster used the opportunity to regain the lead: McIlroy supplied the offload for Murphy to score on the final play of the half. Murphy converted to make it 19-14 at the interval.

Ulster extended their advantage six minutes after the restart when debutant Chay Mullins scored their fourth try following further work from McIlroy. Murphy's conversion established a 12-point cushion. That position changed when Ben Carson was yellow-carded for a high tackle on McDowall and McIlroy followed him to the sin-bin for a deliberate knock-on, leaving the visitors with 13 players.

Glasgow responded with three tries in nine minutes. Jamie Dobie scored first, followed by Sam Talakai, with Horne converting both to move the hosts ahead. Rowe then added his second try, despite Carson having returned, to give Glasgow a 33-26 lead. The numerical advantage later swung the other way as Rory Darge and Talakai were sent to the sin-bin during the final 10 minutes following repeated infringements near Glasgow's line.

Juarno Augustus crossed for Ulster and Nathan Doak converted to tie the scores. Glasgow still earned a late opportunity when Carson was penalised at a ruck, but Horne's kick hit the upright. Neither team found another score before Zac Ward was forced into touch after time had expired. Glasgow next host Connacht on Friday, while Ulster welcome Munster to Belfast on Saturday, according to BBC Sport's report.
