Girona Winger Kim Min-Su Set for Rangers Medical in Glasgow

BBC Sport reported on Monday that Girona winger Kim Min-Su is expected to arrive in Glasgow within 48 hours for a Rangers medical. The proposed move has not been presented as complete, and the report described it as prospective. Kim is a 20-year-old South Korean attacker whose anticipated departure follows Girona's relegation from La Liga.

Kim spent last season on loan at second-tier Andorra, where he scored six goals in 40 appearances and supplied four assists. That campaign gave him regular senior football away from Girona after he had developed through the Spanish club's reserve side. BBC Sport says he is now set to leave Girona following their drop from Spain's top division.

The winger scored 19 times across 84 appearances for Girona B. He has also made eight appearances for Girona's senior team, including two during the current season. Those figures, combined with his season at Andorra, form the playing record Rangers are assessing as they consider another addition in wide attacking areas.

Rangers have already signed 11 players during the summer window under manager Derek McInnes. Their wide options include Djeidi Gassama, Findlay Curtis and Ross McCausland, while Daisuke Yokota arrived from Hannover in early August. Kim would therefore join a position group that has already been reshaped, should the medical and prospective transfer lead to a completed deal.

The Glasgow club has explored other winger moves this month. Rangers had been positioned to buy 24-year-old Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven, but BBC Sport reported that the player had been carrying a minor injury. Brighton also rejected a £7.5 million Rangers offer for 21-year-old winger Amario Cozier-Duberry.

Kim's expected trip comes while Rangers are also involved in European qualifying. McInnes' team holds a 1-0 advantage over Jablonec before Thursday's Conference League play-off second leg in the Czech Republic. For now, the confirmed position remains limited to BBC Sport's report of an expected Glasgow arrival and medical; Rangers have not been reported here as having completed the transfer.
