Georgia Voll's unbeaten 131 seals Australia's ODI series win over Bangladesh
Georgia Voll hit an unbeaten 131 as Australia beat Bangladesh by nine wickets to take a 2-0 series lead, despite a record partnership from the visitors.

Georgia Voll scored an unbeaten 131 as Australia beat Bangladesh by nine wickets at Allan Border Field in Brisbane to secure the three-match women's one-day international series. The Guardian reported that the hosts completed their chase in 28.1 overs, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead after Bangladesh had posted 220 for six.

Watch the highlights:

Voll faced 97 deliveries for her third ODI century in 15 appearances. Her innings also set a new record for the highest individual score in a women's ODI at the ground, surpassing the 118 that Bangladesh's Sobhana Mostary had made earlier in the match. Voll was named player of the match.

Phoebe Litchfield provided another substantial contribution at the top of Australia's order, scoring 70 from 51 balls. She and Voll put on 162 in 119 deliveries for the first wicket, giving the home side control of the pursuit. Australia lost only one wicket as they converted that opening partnership into a series-clinching victory.

Bangladesh's innings had followed a very different course. At eight for three in the eighth over, the visitors needed a recovery before they could build a competitive total. Mostary and captain Nigar Sultana supplied it with a fourth-wicket stand of 195, the biggest partnership for any wicket in Bangladesh women's ODI history.

According to The Guardian, that partnership was also the highest against Australia in women's ODIs. Mostary finished with 118 from 134 deliveries, while Sultana remained unbeaten on 74 from 114. Mostary's score established records both for a Bangladesh batter and for a number five facing Australia in the format, helping the visitors reach their highest ODI total against the Australians.

Megan Schutt led Australia's bowling with four wickets for 36 runs and ended Mostary's innings by bowling her. Both teams had retained the line-ups from the opening game, which Australia won by seven wickets. Voll's latest hundred added to her 101 against India at Allan Border Field in 2024, making her the first woman with two ODI centuries at the venue.
