Dorgu strikes in 96th minute as Manchester United salvage 4-4 draw with Aston Villa
Manchester United recovered from two-goal deficits twice against Aston Villa, with Joshua Zirkzee and Patrick Dorgu scoring in added time. The draw leaves United 18th entering the international break.

Patrick Dorgu scored a 96th-minute equaliser as Manchester United drew 4-4 with Aston Villa, completing their second recovery from two goals down in the same Premier League match. According to the Guardian's match report, Joshua Zirkzee had also scored in added time before Dorgu's header secured a point for Michael Carrick's side. United enter the international break in 18th place.

Watch the highlights:

Villa had taken control almost immediately. Alysson opened the scoring after 48 seconds with a shot that went through goalkeeper Senne Lammens' legs. Nicolas Jackson made it 2-0 after four minutes, finishing after Lammens failed to push another Alysson effort away from danger. The visitors' early advantage left United needing a substantial response before the game had settled.

Bruno Fernandes began that response from the penalty spot in the 16th minute. Boubacar Kamara had brought down Matheus Cunha inside the area, and Fernandes converted with Villa goalkeeper Zion Suzuki going the wrong way. United continued to create chances, with Suzuki saving from Cunha, before Youri Tielemans met a Noussair Mazraoui cross to equalise. The teams went into half-time level at 2-2.

Villa restored their lead shortly after the restart. Diogo Dalot fouled Alysson in the area, giving John McGinn the opportunity to convert a penalty. Leon Goretzka then added Villa's fourth after another McGinn delivery. Leny Yoro headed the free-kick towards his own goal, Lammens tipped the ball onto the frame, and Goretzka finished the rebound to put the visitors two goals ahead again.

Carrick made a triple substitution in the 65th minute, introducing Shea Lacey, Dorgu and Mason Mount for Tielemans, Amad Diallo and Dalot. United remained behind until the late intervention from Zirkzee, followed by Dorgu's equaliser. Those two added-time goals denied Unai Emery's team victory after Villa had established commanding positions in both halves.

The point does not end United's wait for another league win. The Guardian reported that they have won three of their 15 matches in all competitions this season, with just one Premier League victory: a 5-2 win over Ipswich on 30 August. Sunday's comeback followed their midweek recovery against Roma, but United head into the break still in the relegation places.
