Devlin double seals Portsmouth win after Swansea's late equaliser
Portsmouth scored twice in stoppage time to beat Swansea 3-1 at Fratton Park and extend their unbeaten run to six matches.

Terry Devlin scored twice as Portsmouth beat Swansea City 3-1 at Fratton Park on Tuesday, November 3, with two stoppage-time goals deciding a match that was level after 85 minutes. The Championship victory extended Portsmouth's unbeaten sequence to six games and stopped Swansea from moving into first place.

Watch the highlights:

According to Sky Sports' match report, Devlin opened the scoring in the 36th minute after Portsmouth had created the more frequent shooting opportunities despite Swansea's greater share of possession. Adrian Segecic and Tyrese Shade had both threatened before the breakthrough. Portsmouth carried that one-goal advantage into the interval, leaving the visitors needing a second-half response.

Swansea Bay News reported that the visitors improved after the break, with substitutes contributing to their attacking efforts. Joseph Opoku had a volley blocked, Elijah Just was unable to finish from Josh Tymon's delivery, and Nicolas Schmid stopped a long-range attempt by Marko Stamenic. Swansea continued searching for an equaliser as the closing stages approached.

Their breakthrough arrived in the 85th minute when Zan Vipotnik converted a penalty after Regan Poole pulled his shirt inside the area. Swansea then came close to taking the lead: Just supplied Ross Stewart at the back post, but the striker's attempt struck the crossbar. Swansea Bay News described that missed opportunity before Portsmouth regained control of the scoreline.

Devlin restored the home side's lead in the second minute of added time following an Odin Bailey corner. Thomas Waddingham then added Portsmouth's third in the eighth minute of stoppage time, getting past Ben Cabango before finishing. Sky Sports reported that the result gave Portsmouth four wins across their six-match unbeaten run and lifted them to 10th in the table.

Portsmouth manager John Mousinho praised his team's response to conceding the late penalty in comments carried by Sky Sports. Swansea boss Vitor Matos said his players needed to maintain their composure and attention to detail in difficult moments. Swansea Bay News reported that the defeat was their third in four matches and left them fourth, outside the automatic promotion positions.
