Lakers Complete Stunning Comeback to Defeat Celtics 118-115 in OT Thriller
LeBron James scored 15 of his 42 points in overtime as Los Angeles erased a 20-point deficit for their biggest comeback win of the season.

LeBron James delivered one of his most spectacular performances of the season Friday night, scoring 42 points and leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a stunning 118-115 overtime victory over the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. The win marked the Lakers largest comeback of the season, overturning a 20-point third-quarter deficit.

James was unstoppable in the extra period, scoring 15 of the Lakers 18 overtime points and hitting three clutch three-pointers that silenced the hostile Boston crowd. The 39-year-old superstar looked every bit the player who has terrorized the Celtics throughout his legendary career, adding 11 rebounds and 8 assists to his monster scoring output.

Anthony Davis provided crucial support with 28 points and 14 rebounds, dominating the paint against Boston big man Kristaps Porzingis. The Lakers duo combined for 70 points, with their pick-and-roll chemistry proving unstoppable down the stretch. Davis sealed the victory with a thunderous dunk off a James assist with 23 seconds remaining in overtime.

For Boston, Jayson Tatum led the way with 35 points and 9 rebounds, but he struggled with his shot selection in overtime, going 1-of-6 from the field when his team needed him most. Jaylen Brown added 29 points but was held scoreless in the final 8 minutes of regulation and overtime combined. The Celtics shooting went cold at the worst possible time, making just 3 of their final 15 field goal attempts.

The victory moves the Lakers to 32-23 on the season and keeps them firmly in the Western Conference playoff race. More importantly, it serves notice that this veteran Lakers squad can still compete with the leagues elite when James and Davis are both healthy and clicking. Head coach Darvin Ham praised his teams resilience after the game, calling it their most complete performance since the All-Star break.

The loss drops Boston to 41-15, though they maintain their grip on the Eastern Conferences top seed. The Celtics will look to bounce back Sunday when they host the Miami Heat, while the Lakers return home to face the Denver Nuggets in what promises to be another crucial Western Conference showdown.
