Crystal Palace beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 after first-half turnaround
Daichi Kamada, Jefferson Lerma and Yéremy Pino scored as Crystal Palace recovered from an early deficit to beat Nottingham Forest at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace recovered from conceding in the third minute to beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Selhurst Park on Sunday. Daichi Kamada and Jefferson Lerma scored before half-time, with Yéremy Pino adding the third in the 59th minute. Sky Sports’ match coverage confirmed the result and the scoring sequence in the Premier League fixture.

Watch the highlights:

Forest had gone ahead through Dan Ndoye after Anan Khalaili’s attempted header towards his goalkeeper fell to the forward, according to Sky Sports’ report. The visitors continued to create opportunities after taking the lead, but Walter Benítez kept Palace within reach. He tipped Ndoye’s header over the bar, while Daniel Muñoz sent another chance wide.

Benítez’s most important intervention came with Forest still one goal ahead. Morgan Gibbs-White struck the crossbar before the goalkeeper stopped Liam Delap from close range. Palace had also threatened through Jørgen Strand Larsen, whose early efforts brought saves from Matz Sels. Neither side’s chances had produced a second goal before Kamada brought the hosts level.

Kamada’s equaliser arrived in the 41st minute, and Sky Sports identified it as his first Premier League goal. Lerma then scored in the fourth minute of added time at the end of the first half. Palace therefore went into the interval leading 2-1, having overturned the advantage Forest had held for much of the opening period.

Pino increased that lead after Sels saved from Strand Larsen, finishing the rebound to put Palace two goals clear. Sky Sports reported that the goal ended Pino’s run of 19 Premier League appearances without scoring. Benítez later saved from Chris Wood, preventing Forest from cutting the deficit in the closing stages.

The outcome gave Pierre Sage his first home Premier League victory as Palace manager, according to the Guardian’s match report. It also meant defeat for former Palace boss Oliver Glasner on his return with Forest. Sky Sports reported that Palace moved to 12th with seven points from six games, while Forest stood 14th on five points.
