It's On! Contracts Signed for Joshua vs Fury as Historic Heavyweight Showdown Finally Confirmed for 2026
The most anticipated heavyweight boxing match in a generation is finally confirmed as promoters announce contracts have been signed for Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury in 2026.

Boxing fans around the world are celebrating as promoters confirmed on Monday that contracts have been officially signed for the historic heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, with the bout scheduled for later in 2026.

Watch the highlights:

The announcement ends years of speculation and multiple collapsed negotiations, confirming what many consider the dream matchup in British boxing. Both fighters have committed their signatures, ending any remaining doubt about whether the bout would finally come to fruition.

"It's on! The contracts are signed," declared a joint statement from both camps. "This is the fight the world wants to see. Two Olympic gold medalists, two former world champions, meeting in the ring to settle who is truly the king of the heavyweight division."

Joshua, the former unified champion, has been vocal about his desire for this fight throughout his career. The 34-year-old secured a comeback victory earlier this year and had repeatedly called for the Fury bout, describing it as the ultimate challenge.

"I've wanted this fight since I first put on the gloves," Joshua said in a video message posted to his social media channels. "Tyson is a champion and a showman. We're going to give the fans exactly what they've been waiting for."

Fury, who previously hinted at retirement before reversing his decision, echoed his rival's sentiments. "AJ is a warrior and deserves this fight as much as I do," the Gypsy King stated. "We're going to put on a show that nobody will ever forget. Two Brits, one ring, undisputed glory."

The venue has yet to be confirmed, though Wembley Stadium and Las Vegas are the frontrunners. Both fighters will undergo medical examinations in the coming weeks before the official fight announcement press conference.

Promoter Eddie Hearn acknowledged the significance of the moment: "This is the biggest fight in British boxing history. We've worked incredibly hard to make this happen, and now the focus shifts to ensuring both fighters arrive at their absolute best. The world will be watching."
