Closing 67 Carries Jamieson to Two-Shot Victory in Aberdeenshire

Scott Jamieson ended a 14-year wait for another DP World Tour title by winning the Nexo Championship at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire on Sunday. The 42-year-old Scot shot a five-under-par 67 in the final round to finish at 11 under, two strokes ahead of England's Matthew Jordan.

BBC Sport, Sky Sports and the Associated Press reported that the victory was Jamieson's second on the tour and his first since the 2012 Nelson Mandela Championship in South Africa. His four-round total was 277 after scores of 70, 71, 69 and 67 on the par-72 course.

Jamieson began the final day behind overnight leader Shaun Norris but moved through a crowded leaderboard with six birdies and one bogey. Sky Sports reported that four of those birdies came during a five-hole stretch around the turn, helping him establish the advantage he carried to the finish. He also saved par at the 17th before completing the victory.

Jordan closed with a 70 to finish on nine under and take second place. Fellow Englishman Andy Sullivan shot 68 to place third at seven under. Quim Vidal, Marcus Kinhult and Keita Nakajima shared fourth on six under, according to the published final leaderboard.

Norris' challenge was disrupted by a two-stroke penalty during the final round. Sky Sports reported that officials ruled he had improved his stance after kicking a replaced divot from beneath his feet. The South African ultimately signed for a four-over 76 and finished tied for seventh at five under.

Jamieson's victory continued a run of Scottish winners at the event after Grant Forrest's success in 2025. More importantly for Jamieson, it brought an end to a title drought stretching back to December 2012. His final-round surge and two-shot winning margin were confirmed across the BBC, Sky Sports and Associated Press reports.
