Chiefs, 49ers and Vikings reach 4-0 as Raiders and Bills lose unbeaten starts
Kansas City, San Francisco and Minnesota remained unbeaten after Sunday’s NFL action. Las Vegas and Buffalo suffered their first losses of the season.

Kansas City, San Francisco and Minnesota emerged from Sunday's NFL games as the only teams with 4-0 records, after Las Vegas and Buffalo suffered their first defeats of the season. According to BBC Sport's week-four report, the Chiefs beat the Raiders 30-27, the 49ers defeated Denver 24-14 and the Vikings overcame Miami 15-10.

Watch the highlights:

Kansas City's win in Las Vegas turned on a rapid double strike from running back Kenneth Walker. The Raiders held a 13-10 advantage entering the fourth quarter, but a closing period containing three lead changes swung toward the visitors when Walker scored two touchdowns in 19 seconds. A fumble forced on a kick-off return gave the Chiefs possession between those scores, allowing them to turn one touchdown into an immediate second threat.

Las Vegas remained in contention after a Brock Bowers touchdown and still had a chance on the final play. Kirk Cousins was tackled while attempting a pass, however, and the throw was intercepted. Walker finished with 177 rushing yards on 22 carries, while Tyquan Thornton contributed two touchdowns and 111 receiving yards. The defeat ended the Raiders' unbeaten start after they had matched their total of three wins from last season in their opening three games.

San Francisco also had to wait for separation in a tight contest. The 49ers and Broncos were level at 3-3 until late in the third quarter, before Christian McCaffrey's fourth-quarter touchdown created a cushion. Denver answered through Jaylen Waddle, but George Kittle's catch-and-run touchdown secured the 24-14 result. BBC Sport reported that Brock Purdy has thrown 11 touchdown passes with only one interception and has not been sacked in San Francisco's first four games.

Minnesota reached the same 4-0 mark without scoring a touchdown against Miami. Will Reichard supplied all of the Vikings' points with five field goals in their 15-10 victory. That left Minnesota alongside Kansas City and San Francisco after a day that began with five teams still unbeaten.

Buffalo's perfect start ended in a 29-26 home defeat by New England. Drake Maye threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns, with Efton Chism's one-handed end-zone catch putting the Patriots back ahead late on. New England then intercepted Josh Allen to finish the game, removing the Bills from the unbeaten group.
