Celtic restore four-point lead as Hearts bounce back at Motherwell
Celtic came from behind to beat Hibernian 2-1 and restore their four-point advantage over Rangers. Hearts recovered from their heavy defeat by Celtic with a 2-0 victory at Motherwell.

Celtic restored their four-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership by beating Hibernian 2-1 at Easter Road, while Hearts returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory at Motherwell. According to the Guardian's league roundup, Camilo Durán scored his 10th goal of the season to complete Celtic's comeback and secure their ninth victory in 10 league matches.

Watch the highlights:

Hibernian struck first through Owen Elding, but a Jason Kerr own goal brought Celtic level before Durán put the visitors ahead shortly before half-time. The result followed Celtic's home Europa League setback against Celta Vigo on Thursday. For bottom-placed Hibernian, it was a third consecutive defeat under Marink Reedijk, who recently replaced David Gray. Celtic also saw substitute Alistair Johnston's return from injury cut short after barely 20 minutes on the pitch.

At Fir Park, Cláudio Braga and Calvin Miller supplied the goals as Hearts responded to their 7-1 loss against Celtic the previous weekend. The victory left Hearts four points behind second-placed Rangers and eight behind Celtic. Motherwell remained 10th after a sixth successive defeat, matching a run from 2003. The home supporters booed their team at both half-time and full-time.

Rangers had maintained pressure on Celtic with a 4-0 home win over St Johnstone on Saturday. Kevin Kelsy opened the scoring in the 29th minute before Ryan Naderi doubled the advantage after 61 minutes. Kelsy added another five minutes later, and substitute Tochi Chukwuani completed the scoring near the end. St Johnstone substitute Kai Fotheringham was sent off for a high challenge on Nico Raskin in the 74th minute.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Dundee United beat Aberdeen 3-2 at Tannadice. Zidane Iqbal and Dylan Tait twice put United ahead, with Nesta Guinness-Walker and Connor Ronan providing Aberdeen's replies. Zac Sapsford then scored the winner. Iqbal and Guinness-Walker each registered their first goals for their respective clubs.

Falkirk climbed to seventh by defeating Kilmarnock 3-0, with own goals from Cathal McCarthy and George Stanger coming either side of a Jacob Murrell header. St Mirren also ended their losing run, beating Dundee 2-1 through goals from Calvin Ramsay and Eseosa Sule before Bradley Fink replied for the visitors.
