Case Keenum accounts for three touchdowns as Bears beat Eagles 27-7

Case Keenum threw two touchdown passes and added a rushing score as the Chicago Bears defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 27-7 at Soldier Field on Monday night. The result left both teams at 2-1. Philadelphia's official game statistics recorded 247 passing yards for Keenum, who completed 24 of 34 attempts without an interception.

Chicago turned to Keenum with Caleb Williams unavailable because of a hamstring injury. According to the Eagles' published injury report, Williams had been ruled out on Saturday after missing the week's practices following his injury against Minnesota. Tyson Bagent returned to full practice on Saturday and cleared concussion protocol on Sunday, but the Bears had prepared Keenum to start while their other quarterbacks were sidelined for most of the week.

The Bears opened the scoring through an eight-yard touchdown pass from Keenum to Luther Burden III. Cairo Santos subsequently kicked a 29-yard field goal, putting Chicago 10-0 ahead. Philadelphia answered with a one-yard Jalen Hurts touchdown run before halftime, reducing the deficit to three points. That was the Eagles' only scoring possession of the night.

Chicago pulled away after the break. Santos converted from 48 yards before Keenum found Kalif Raymond for a 41-yard touchdown, extending the lead to 20-7. The official scoring summary lists the final touchdown as a one-yard Keenum run that completed a 13-play, 58-yard possession lasting eight minutes and four seconds. Philadelphia was held scoreless in both the third and fourth quarters.

Raymond finished with six catches for 90 yards, while Burden caught seven passes for 61 yards. Each supplied one of Keenum's passing touchdowns. D'Andre Swift led Chicago's rushing attack with 84 yards on 20 carries. The Bears amassed 375 net yards against Philadelphia's 248 and held the ball for 36 minutes and 53 seconds, giving them a substantial possession advantage.

Hurts completed 16 of 25 passes for 153 yards and an interception, while Andy Dalton's only attempt was also intercepted. Saquon Barkley gained 82 yards on 15 carries. Philadelphia was penalized 10 times for 61 yards, compared with Chicago's five penalties for 45 yards. The Bears' win followed their 9-3 defeat by Minnesota, while the Eagles suffered their first loss after victories over Washington and Tennessee.
